After completing the course, you will have in-depth knowledge of inspecting the following lifting and hoisting equipment:
Lifting chains, wire ropes, webbing slings, links, shackles, swivels, assemblies, lifting clamps, grabs, hydraulic shop cranes, hydraulic and mechanical jacks, pallet trucks, pump trucks, magnetic and vacuum lifting accessories, lifting magnets, lifting beams, personnel baskets, hand chain hoists, beam trolleys, electric and pneumatic chain hoists, winches (NEN 3140 inspector certification is required for the electrical components), lifting tables, etc.
How the Ingenium online course works

- Once you’ve completed the course material, you take the final test. After passing, you receive an E-learning Certificate: Inspection of hoisting and lifting equipment.
Inspectors trained by Ingenium dé opleider may carry out inspections both within their own organisation and for external organisations. Inspections have been required by law since 1998. Lifting and hoisting equipment can be inspected in-house or by an external provider. The VCA checklist also includes the annual inspection requirement for lifting and hoisting equipment.
A technical qualification is not required.

By completing the lifting and hoisting equipment inspection course, both the employer and the inspector meet the Dutch Working Conditions Act requirements for adequate instruction and demonstrable inspector competence.
